US metropolitan region codes ("Metro Codes") are only available for the USA. About 95% of the IP addresses allocated to the USA have metro codes in our database. Most of the 5% remaining IP addresses don't have a metro code because they have been allocated to US Armed Forces abroad.
Google mantains an updated list of the metro codes (as well as a CSV file) here.
