Organization and ISP

What is the difference between the ISP field and the Organization field?

The ISP field generally contains the ISP value. However, when we are not able to obtain the ISP value, we provide the name of the organization the IP address block was assigned to. For example, the ISP field often contains the names of universities, instead of the name of the ISPs that serve the universities.

When only the ISP or organization name is available, both the ISP and Organization fields return the same value. In this case where the ISP value and organization value are the same, the common value usually represents the ISP. When both the ISP value and organization value are available, the ISP and Organization fields return the ISP value and organization value, respectively.
